Paws for a Cause is a private non-profit organization that has rescued and rehomed companion animals since 2008.

Paws for a Cause (PAC) is growing and we wouldn't be who we are today without the generosity and dedicated energy of our volunteers. We always need volunteers who are willing to donate a few hours of their time to help with the various areas of our program. PAC is looking for volunteers in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. If you have a passion for companion animals, some extra time and love to share with these very special dogs, we want to hear from you. Even if you can't take a dog into your home, there are other ways to contribute your time. The rewards far outweigh the time and effort it takes to re-home these wonderful souls.
Positions Available
* Home Visits
Volunteers are needed to meet with prospective adopters and complete a questionnaire and home
inspection. Prospects can be located in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin..
* Transport
Transport volunteers are needed to transport dogs. Transport runs can be local, intrastate or
interstate between Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisonsin.

into their homes and which adoptive families are the right fit for their fosters.
Tasks associated with providing foster care include:

foster)
•Evaluating prospective adopter's applications and home visit notes
•Submitting weekly updates for the website

If You've Ever Considered Getting Involved, Now's the Time!
She's back and if it's even possible, in worse form than ever! Kathy Bauck, convicted at trial two years ago (yep, a number of us attended every moment at the Fergus Falls courthouse) was convicted of multiple counts of animal cruelty - including practicing as a veterninarian without a license (read, spaying with no anesthetic). As part of her sentence, she was not allowed to breed dogs again and yet, two years later and over 1200 puppies...some of which were sold to a MEAT MARKET in New York City. This...this is the reason Paws for a Cause is not a 501(c)3 - because becoming a 501(c)3 leaves us without a voice for legislation.
LEGISLATION. Yes, let's say it together. Legislation is the key here. Not federal legislation but state controlled legislation is the ONLY thing that's going to make this type of story go away. Please people - get involved - demand change - make sure that this just can't happen ever, ever again in Minnesota. It only takes all of us - call us for a list of your representatives. Please, help!
SUPPORT PAWS FOR A CAUSE WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME!!
Instead of reaching for Google - log into Goodsearch.com. For every search you do, they send us a penny. Doesn't sound like much? This year, they sent us $117. Let's see if we can triple that for 2012. And thank you, everyone, that has participated to date!
A LOOK BACK - PAC FUR KIDS IN THEIR FOREVER HOMES
One of our incredible volunteers, Katy M. has joined a model contest. If she wins the contest will donate $7500 to PAC and that contribution MIGHT be matched by a private party. Please, once a day, vote for Katy M and help us help so many more!!!
Hi Drew and Heidi, We adopted Irwin last Wednesday and he is already a very important part of our family. He is so loving and gentle. When we go on the walks he never wants to stop even if he is tired. He loves riding in the car and meeting new people. We are so grateful for your organization for bringing us together. Thank you so much. We will keep you updated. Thank you again, Denise and family.
This is a tribute to all of the incredible volunteers, shelters, veterinarians and good samaritans that work with us every year. Author unknown.
